ESI Events Presents
Lucy Dacus
with Spooky Cool
and Mutual Friends

6pm Doors | 7pm Show

Lucy Dacus, a 21-year-old with a warm and deep voice, singing comes as naturally as talking. As an adopted child in Richmond, Va., she was raised by a piano-playing mother; now, she writes songs that can be thoughtful, playful and powerful, with tremendous arrangements from guitarist Jacob Blizard. Since the release of her critically-acclaimed debut album No Burden  from last year, the young singer-songwriter from Richmond, Virginia has been experiencing a flush of activity in the last several months: interviews in several major media outlets; diligent touring that included a performance at Lollapalooza; and her first major national TV appearance on CBS This Morning Saturday. Topping them all was the announcement this past June that Dacus signed with Matador Records, which reissued No Burden in the fall of 2016.

ProgNation is one of the most talked-about classic prog-rock acts, demonstrating first-class performances of YES, King Crimson, Genesis, ELP, Moody Blues, and more all in one band! ProgNation is a huge hit with classic progressive rock fans old and new at concerts, festivals, and special events.

Random Order is a Progressive Rock ensemble based in Western New York (Buffalo area) and is comprised of four members. The three original members are multi-instrumentalists that have been working together on and off for over twenty years in various bands of different genres.  Recently a fourth, much younger member has been added to add another color to the palette.  This has given them an ability to incorporate fresh ideas while also allowing them to return to their roots and compose in the style of music they love best: Hard-Edged Symphonic Rock.

Elton Rohn is thrilling audiences across Canada and the USA.
As Elton Rohn, Ron Camilleri’s ability to transform into Elton John is uncanny.
Audiences are amazed. It’s like seeing a 1970’s Elton John concert. And his
band is made up of some of Canada’s finest musicians. They now
include a string quartet on select shows. Every note is played live, no
tracks. And the band features full four part harmony. The band has
headlined over 100 shows including festivals across Canada and the
USA, including Las Vegas where they were the only Elton John
tribute asked to play the Elton John convention.

Rik Emmett gained international recognition as the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist with Triumph.  The adjectives ‘prolific’ and ‘eclectic’ frequently pop up in Rik’s profiles, after five decades in the biz.  Following over a dozen platinum albums from his Triumph years, he produced 19 more as an indie, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to folk to classical.  International notoriety earned him entry into three Canadian Halls of Fame, a star on the Walk of Fame in his hometown of Mississauga, and he picked up a few ‘Best Guitarist’ awards in various style categories from different organizations along the way.  Author of a GUITAR PLAYER magazine column for over a dozen years, the resulting compilation instruction book, “For The Love of Guitar”, recently landed at #4 in Shawn Persinger’s review of “The 50 Greatest Guitar Books”.  As a music educator, Mr. E. remains humbly proud of his long-standing inclusion on the heavily-respected Humber College faculty, where he’s taught Songwriting, Music Business and Directed Studies;  and he’s also been Artistic Director of the Songstudio Songwriting Workshop every summer for the past 12 years.  This show will be an acoustic duo performance with Dave Dunlop.
